Baby Visits Peppa Pig World

Last weekend we were invited to Paulton’s Park to experience Peppa Pig World; we were so excited!  Mr Hubby was, unfortunately, ill but Baby’s Aunty came with us to enjoy the day. The first thing that greeted us was this gorgeous glass fountain.

As Baby used Peppa to shelter her from the splashes, we decided that our first stop would be the Wildwoods restaurant; mainly as I was in serious need of a cup of tea.

There were lots of places to buy food and drink throughout the site; the Wildwoods restaurant being the largest and conveniently situated by the entrance.

After some light refreshment, we were ready to explore the park.

We headed straight to Peppa Pig World, passing a gorgeous carousel on our way.  Baby couldn’t believe her eyes when we got there, as there was so much to do and to take in. We wandered around to see what rides we wanted to go on.  Everything is in the Peppa theme, the music, fonts and puddle shapes; all adding to the feeling you were actually in the real Peppa Pig World!

The inevitable queues had started already and I was a little concerned about how Baby would cope, especially as it was quite warm, but she was amazing.  We got in the line for the Daddy Pig Car ride, which took us over 30 minutes and she was so patient; just shuffled along until it was our turn.  The ride was great fun and Baby loved driving the car. Next we went on the hot air balloon ride, which was fabulous.  Peppa and George make regular appearances for photo opportunities and can often be seen wandering around the park.

We even got to go into Peppa’s house!  Baby loved seeing the characters.

The animals that are found throughout Paulton’s Park are a lovely addition, we especially enjoyed meeting the penguins.  Then, after lunch it was time to hit the Mr Potato Head playground and explore the rest of the park, including the new Critter Creek.  Lots of picnic areas (which are mostly covered) are dotted around the park, so you will find somewhere to have your packed lunch if you prefer to bring your own food.

There is a great water park, so the children can run around and get sprayed by the sprinklers and jets. We didn’t realise this and so didn’t take Baby’s costume!  Mummy fail! They have the haystack dryers too, so your little ones will get warm and dry quickly.  There are also rides in the main park suitable for little ones but with much shorter queues. The main park has beautiful parkland and a great selection of playparks, water boat rides, small roller coasters, trampolines and a log flume, amongst others.  There are also a few larger rollercoasters for older children.

There are beautiful gardens to walk through if you need a break from the noise and rides and there are also more birds to admire.  There is plentiful parking, modern, clean toilets/baby change and you can hire strollers for the day too.  If your child is over 1m you will have to pay for them, they have a metal bar at the entrance to check heights.

We had a really lovely day and hope to return again with Mr Hubby, as there was still so much we could have done.

I made this little video of our day, I hope you enjoy it.

Disclosure: We were given tickets in return for our honest review.
