We are half way through November and if you’re going to make your own Christmas cards you need to get a move on! I think it’s lovely to create your own Christmas card, even if it’s just for family. It is also really fun to do the mini photoshoot to get the pictures, or at least it can be!
I have just done my shoot with Baby and while it didn’t turn out exactly as I pictured it, I think I got a shot I can use. Before I started I had a poke around to see what sort of images I liked, getting a little inspiration and here are some of the ideas that I thought were great.
The pictures I have picked are for a range of ages and also include a variety of props. Some pictures only needing a santa hat, while others need a little more preparation. You might find that one of these pictures inspires you to produce your own take on the image.

Wait until she is asleep then create something round her 🙂 x
Oh these are all adorable, I absolutely love the babies with Santa hats in bed, and the fairy lights one… Might have to try that this afternoon #thelist
I love the idea of blowing glitter into the camera, my girls would love doing this whether I was going to take a picture or not! x
These are so cute! I’m definitely going to try and get one of the baby with the ‘reindeer’ dog – if she’ll stay still long enough!
Gorgeous images. Some people are just so damned clever!!! Makes me excited for Christmas!! #TheList
I always see these sorts of pictures & they look amazing, but I never try them. I KNOW that any attempt I made would be one of those classic pinterest fails: an angel tangled in tinsel, eating her halo, whacking a reindeer who has managed to get her bum out round the head, while they both cry. That sort of thing. #thelist
Some lovely ideas, I love the pillow fight 🙂 x
Love these, especially the Christmas Lights and Sleeping Baby ones. I would love to do one, however the chances of me getting organised anytime soon are slim to none! #TheList
Such lovely ideas! I love the pillow fight one but my favourite has to be the baby sleeping on top on the book. #thelist
Aw so many gorgeous and heart melting shots perfect for Christmas. Thanks for sharing X #thelist
Great photo ideas! I wish I could do some of these. My toddler can’t still for a second, though. We’re going to do a family picture with the tree in the background. Hopefully, we can get his smile in the picture.
