Baby has LOTS of toys, but she has recently begun to express an interest in transportation, ‘car’ and ‘choo choo’ are among her current favourite words.  So when Fisher-Price asked if we would like to review the Little People Skyway toddler toy, we were thrilled!

This toy stands over 3 feet tall and is made up of various different ramps twisting round the main structure.  This means that once the two little cars (which come complete with the little people driving) are popped into the top of the toy, there are three possible exits for them.   There are also cute additions, such as a crane and a petrol pump, which will become more important as the children get older for more imaginative play.

I must admit my heart sank a little when I open the box and was faced with this!

Not one for following instructions, I dislike anything that requires much assembly.  However, I took a deep breath and armed with a screwdriver, I set to work.  I did have a little ‘assistance’ at times from a certain small person.  From despair to triumph took me us 50 minutes.

It took a few attempts for Baby to realise that the cars were better going down on their wheels and not on their roofs, but she was instantly attracted by the colours and the little people.

We have had the toys for a few days now and Baby loves playing with it.  Mr Hubby and I *might* have had a cheeky little play with it too!  It is really good fun!

This toy is priced just under £40 depending on the retailer, which I think is reasonable for a toy of this size, which I think will have good longevity.  I would recommend this toy, especially for little ones with a budding interest in cars.

Disclosure: We were sent the Little People Skyway for the purpose of this review.  All opinions are my own and are 100% honest.
