I was recently contacted by Anna Lou of London and asked if we would like to review some pieces of jewellery from their Miss Anna range. I had not heard of Anna Lou before, but I had a quick peek at the website. Anna started selling her pieces on Portobello Road Market in 2004 and within months her designs were being sold in Harvey Nichols. Now an internationally recognised brand focusing on fashion forward accessories, Anna Lou designs are being sold across the globe. Quite an inspiration!
I was asked to select some pieces from the Miss Anna range that I thought Baby may like as she grows up. The Miss Anna range is a quirky, fun collection for girls and little ladies. I think this is a lovely idea to give Baby jewellery for her first birthday, that she can wear when she gets older. It was hard to choose from the great variety in the range. Finally I selected a Magic Hair Slide, Over the Rainbow Bracelet and an ‘A’ Crystal Necklace.
When the jewellery arrived, each piece was in a lovely bag with ribbon bow detail, which had Velcro on the top, so they could be reused which would be a hit with little girls.
She wanted to try on her jewellery, so we let her and then put them away for safe keeping until she is a little bit older. She enjoyed wearing her necklace, although she doesn’t have enough hair yet for the hair slide! The pieces are exceptional quality and are very well made. They may be a little more expensive than some ranges of children’s jewellery, but I think they are perfect for a special occasion. Personally I would rather pay a little more to have the confidence that the piece is going to last.
I would highly recommend the Miss Anna range from Anna Lou of London if you want to treat the little ladies in your life. Anna Lou combines innovative design with a wonderful quality of materials. I know Baby will love these pieces and they will stay in her room, so she can look at them and know she gets to wear them properly when she gets a little bigger.
I am eyeing up a few pieces in the main collection and there are some beautiful scarves too!
Disclaimer: I was allowed to select £50 worth of jewellery for the purpose of the review. However, all opinions are my own and are 100% honest.
